As the final weekend of the Glasgow 2018 European Championships draws to a close, Scots were out producing some fantastic results both on and off road.

Alba Series #5: Pedal Power Road Race

The final round of the Alba Series took place on Saturday. Full results from the series to follow.

Downhill MTB World Cup, Mont-Sainte-Anne

Scottish rider Henry Kerr took the third spot on the podium in the Junior Men's race. 18 year old Kerr is having a brilliant year with podiums at nearly every round of the World Cup.

Glasgow 2018 European Championships BMX, Knightswood

With a surprising one-two, British BMXers Kyle Evans and Kye Whyte respectively won men's gold and silver at a sold-out Glasgow BMX Centre in Knightswood Park.

To the joy of a raucous home crowd, Evans managed to lead the final top to bottom to take his first European title, while his younger team-mate crowned with silver a successful comeback over world champion Sylvain Andre (FRA) as freshman Whyte pipped the finals' main favourite at the photo finish.

Glasgow 2018 European Championships Men's Road Race, Glasgow City Centre

Matteo Trentin claimed the European Road Championship title for Italy on a rainy course in Glasgow. He won the sprint of a six-man group, topping Wout Van Aert (Belgium) and Mathieu van der Poel (Netherlands). Despite the weather, the people of Glasgow came out in force to supoprt with many local clubs donning their kit to support the rider.
