Welsh Cycling is pleased to announce the launch of the Pathway Coach Development Programme; designed to accelerate the learning and development of a small group of coaches.

It is envisaged that these coaches can then cascade learning back down within their existing coaching area and potentially become involved working within the Welsh Cycling Pathway.

The programme is running in partnership with Cardiff Metropolitan University, who will be delivering four of the workshop elements, with Mostyn Richards delivering the initial workshop.

Workforce Officer Alistair Waldron has said: “we are privileged to have world class deliverers here in South Wales and thrilled to be working with them on this programme.. This is the first time we are launching a Coaching Program of this nature and we have a great opportunity to develop coaching here in Wales”.

Individuals need to be passionate about cycling and actively coaching cycling within Wales, preferably within a club environment. Individuals will also need to demonstrate that they have engaged in Coach Development/Continual Professional Development within the last two years.

If you wish to discuss this further or for additional information, please get in touch with the Welsh Cycling Workforce Officer at Alistair.waldron@welshcycling.co.uk,

Applications close on the 22 August, Please let us know if you are unavailable for the first workshop on Saturday the 8th September.
