The series, which consists of 7 circuit races, will begin on the 14th April at Marsh Tracks in Rhyl and will continue through the summer until September later this year.

Providing a brilliant opportunity for youngsters, the circuit series includes Time Trials and Mass Start Races. Competitors will have the opportunity to attempt a skills test at anytime during the day whilst the Time Trial or Mass start racing is in progress.

HSBC UK Go-Ride Coach Tim Matthews said "The Go Race MTB Series has run for the last 8 or 9 years and has produced some very successful MTB riders.

"It has been used as a training ground for riders who have gone on to win Welsh Championship Jerseys in MTB XC, runner up in British MTB XC Championships, and riders who have moved on to both Welsh and British Talent programmes.

"I am hoping that this new series will provide us with some more top class riders and help in Welsh Cycling’s goal to perform on the International stage at Commonwealth Games in years to come.”
