Following on from opening the recruitment process for the role of head of medical services a fortnight ago, British Cycling is now recruiting for the role of head of performance support for the Great Britain Cycling Team as they continue to build their staffing structure in-line with their Tokyo 2020 ambitions.

The head of performance support role will report into the performance director with the primary remit to "lead and manage a progressive and impactful performance support team that includes multiple functions (human sciences, engineering and analytics)."

Performance director Stephen Park said: “I’m pleased the recruitment process for the Head of performance support role is now open and it’s reassuring to know our revised staffing model continues to be strengthened so early on in the Tokyo 2020 cycle.

“The successful candidate will lead our world-class team of performance support practitioners across our Olympic and Paralympic programmes who are invaluable to the Great Britain Cycling Team’s success. The role holder will play a key part in ensuring we continue to deliver on the world stage and I look forward to welcoming them onto the team.”
