Champions will be crowned in Moelfre on Saturday at the 2017 HSBC UK | National 4X Championships.

The prestigious white, red and blue national champions’ jerseys are up for grabs in North Wales.

Elite men

Scott Beaumont will look to win an incredible sixth consecutive national 4X championship in Moelfre this weekend.

On an extended and re-designed track, Beaumont will start as the favourite, but will face stiff competition from riders in form throughout this season’s HSBC UK | National 4X Series.

Will Evans (Carrick Riders) has two wins from the opening four rounds of the 2017 series, with Alex Metcalfe having also reached the top step of the podium this year.

2016 UCI Four Cross Mountain Bike World Championships bronze medallist Luke Cryer will also fancy his chances of a strong performance in North Wales.

Elite women

A new national champion will be crowned in Moelfre this weekend.

Natasha Bradley is not set to compete, meaning there will be a three-way shootout for the elite women’s title.

The new champion is set to come from one of Hannah Escott (Severn Valley Velo), Melanie Nice (Dame Valley Quidne - IT) or Megan Wherry.
