Welsh Cycling pays tribute to NEG Wales marshal, Andy Beynon

Welsh Cycling extends its condolences to the family and friends of Andrew Beynon, an NEG Wales motorcycle marshal, who died in a road traffic collision in the Vale of Glamorgan at the weekend.

Andy, 52, from Llanelli had been teaching others how to become better motorcyclists earlier that day. In his role as an NEG Wales motorcycle marshal, Andy had supported a number of cycling events in Wales ensuring a safe environment for cyclists to compete on the public highways.

Anne Adams-King, chief executive officer said: “We are deeply saddened by this tragedy. Andy was a respected NEG Wales motorcycle marshal, and had given his time to support cycling in Wales. He will be missed by all of the cycling community in Wales. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.”
