Paul Elcock GS Henley wins the Brenig Road Race, first in the North Wales King of the Mountains Series.

Elcock took the win from Team Wiggins Dylan Kerfoot-Robson on the course around Llyn Brenig in Conwy. The 20.5mile circuit offered riders a preview to the Welsh Road Race Championships in August, which will take place on the same circuit.

The peloton raced through the winding roads of Cerrigydrudion, with Elcock taking the win on the incline north of Llyn Brenig.

The North Wales KOM Series continues with a 2-day event 10 -11 June in Gwynedd, enter online here.

Welsh Cycling Road Race Championships

The Welsh Road Race Championships is a closed event, where competitors must be eligible to compete for Wales by fulfilling the following criteria:

  • Born in Wales
  • Parent born in Wales
  • Lived in Wales for five years consecutively prior to the date of the event

Entry is via the British Cycling online entry system and will close on 31st July 2017. Please note there is no entry on the day of the race.
