Seven Great Britain Cycling Team riders will start the new-look 2017 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Papendal, Netherlands with rounds one and two on Saturday 6-Sunday 7 May.
Kyle Evans, Tre Whyte, Quillan Isidore, Paddy Sharrock and Kye Whyte will line-up in the elite men’s events with Blaine Ridge-Davis and Beth Shriever racing the elite women’s events.
How the 2017 UCI BMX Supercross World Cup works
2017 will see a new format for the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup with six rounds of racing across three weekends.
Papendal gets the action under way before rounds three and four on 13-14 May in Zolder, Belgium.
After the UCI BMX World Championships in Rock Hill, USA, on 30 July, the world cup returns for rounds five and six in Santiago del Estero, Argentina.
With each venue now hosting two rounds of racing, time trials have been removed as have the moto rounds.
Instead each day will see a straight knockout format from round one (1/32 stage) through to the main finals. Riders knocked out in the opening round will go into the ‘last chance’ heats for one more opportunity to make the 1/16 finals.
Riders are awarded ranking points based on their finishing position in each round, the rider with the most points is crowned UCI BMX Supercross World Cup champion.
The team
With Liam Phillips still recovering from a wrist injury sustained at the Gator Nationals - Supercross Series in Oldsmar, Florida in February, seven riders will line-up on the start gate for the Great Britain Cycling Team.
Kyle Evans and Tre Whyte have both made world cup finals - Evans’ best finish a second-place behind Liam Phillips at the 2016 Manchester round.
Quillan Isidore, 20, will have his eyes on the latter rounds having exited in the moto stages at both of his 2016 world cup outings.
Seventeen-year-old Kye Whyte, younger brother of Tre, will make his UCI BMX Supercross World Cup debut. Whyte has impressed on the domestic scene with wins at rounds one and two of the HSBC UK | BMX National Series in Manchester.

Bethany Shriever has started the season in superb form with victories at rounds one and two of the UEC BMX European Series - the 18-year-old out to build on two semi-final appearances in her debut 2016 world cup season.
Blaine Ridge-Davis makes only her third world cup appearance, having also debuted in the series in 2016.
