This summer, British Cycling’s Breeze is proudly launching a new campaign to celebrate the variety of inspirational women who lie at the heart of the network.
The campaign features a selection of volunteer ride leaders, Breeze champions, from all over the UK who reflect the different backgrounds and shared passions of the network.
These women prove that whatever age or size you are or what barriers you’ve faced, cycling is something all women can get involved with.
Becki Morris, Women’s Cycling Project Manager said: “Over the past five years, Breeze has become a real sisterhood and it’s all thanks to the enthusiasm and commitment of the women involved.
“Our Breeze champions are a network of volunteers, and the work they have done to get more women on bikes is truly inspiring.
“We think this campaign is the perfect way to thank them all.”
Throughout the year Breeze will be shinning the spotlight on some its Breeze champions, telling their stories through video, social media and the wider media.
The stories show how each Breeze journey is different, but that each of our champions share one goal – to inspire more women to ride.
First we meet Zoe, a Breeze champion based in Brighton.
Zoe started riding with Breeze to regain her confidence and overcome the fear of judgement when exercising.
