A nine-year-old cyclist from Yorkshire will be the envy of his cycling club after winning a Lazer Wasp Air helmet signed by one of his heroes.

Declan Wiles from Yorkshire has received the state-of-the-art helmet signed by Great Britain Cycling Team rider, Elinor Barker, after taking a winning Lazer Wasp Air 'selfie’. Declan was one of thousands of people who attended the Cycle Show at the Birmingham NEC in September. We teamed up with Madison, British Cycling’s official partner, to give cycling fans the chance to try on the world’s fastest time trial helmet and to send us a photo for the chance to get their hands on one.

The Lazer Wasp helmet, used by members of the Great Britain Cycling Team, excels in aerodynamic performance. Everything about the helmet is shaped around the rider’s position to find the optimal fit between the helmet and the rider’s back.

Declan will now benefit from the advanced Lazer technology when he attends Go-Ride sessions at his BBM Revolution Cycling Club!

Competition winner, Declan Wiles, said: “Thank you for the Lazer Wasp Helmet, it is very cool. I am looking forward to wearing it in the summer. I would like to thank Elinor Barker for signing the helmet and I hope to be as good as her one day!”

Great Britain Cycling Team rider, Elinor Barker, said: “It is great to see someone as young as Declan out on his bike and enjoying his participation in races so much, I hope he keeps up the cycling and enjoys riding in his Lazer Wasp helmet.”
