About the East and Central region

Scottish Cycling East and Central was formally established on 5th March 2015. Scottish Cycling East and Central comprises of 8 local authority areas Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, West Lothian, Edinburgh, Mid Lothian, East Lothian, Borders.

The region benefits from one full time Regional Development Officer employed by Scottish Cycling to represent and assist the clubs within the region. Beyond this there is Regional Development Group which all clubs have membership of and an entitlement to submit delegates to the regional committee. The committee meets 3/4 times per annum to discuss regional matters.

There are no permanent personnel on the committee other than the RDO (Secretary) and nominated members who act as coordinators for activities within the region such as Women and Youth Convenor. The rest fo the committee comprises of club members who attend on an ad-hoc basis.
