The Halesowen track in the West Midlands reopens this week for training after refurbishments partly funded by British Cycling.

To mark the official reopening at the Halesowen Grand Prix on 12 July, a £100 cash prize will be on offer to the winner of the flagship event, the Billy Jones Memorial Trophy.

The 10-mile scratch, whose most recent winner was John McLelland in 2013, will be the sixth round of the British Cycling National Hard Track Endurance League, and the meeting also includes a round of the National Women’s Omnium series as well as a full range other endurance events.

Entries are currently being accepted for the Halesowen Grand Prix through the British Cycling website.
