Due to the predicted high winds affecting the west coast this weekend the organisers of the event at Aberporth have taken the difficult decision to cancel the races.
The Met office are predicting wind speeds to hit 50mph in the area which will make bunch racing dangerous and with the threat of structural damage occurring the safety of everyone involved in the event & traveling to the races means that the event could not go ahead.
Organiser Michael Tarling was obviously disappointed following a lot of work by the club to prepare for the races but stressed that when everyone’s safety is concerned cancelling the event was the only option.
The club will be promoting another race on the circuit later in the year which hopefully wont be effected by the weather.
