Llandrindod Wells to host Welsh Road Race Championships in May

Welsh Cycling are pleased to announce the Welsh Road Race Championships will be held in Llandrindod Wells on Sunday 3 May 2015.

The Welsh Road Race Championships 2015 will award champion titles for Senior Men, Junior Men, Women and Masters on the undulating Mid Wales course.

The Elite/1/2/3 Men will start at 11:00am and complete five laps of a undulating 17 mile circuit . The Junior Men, Women, Masters and fourth category race start at 11:15 completing three laps of the same 17 mile circuit.

Welsh Cycling Chief Executive Officer Anne Adams-King said: “Welsh Cycling is looking forward to the Welsh Road Race Championships in May. The course in Mid Wales will offer a spectacular backdrop to an exciting Championship event.

I look forward to being at the event in May and seeing many of our members in Wales, from junior to veteran cyclists, both men and women, competing for the 2015 titles that are on offer.”

The 2015 Championships are this year promoted by Cardiff 100 Miles Cycling Club.

With more than 100 clubs and more than 4000 members in Wales, the Welsh Road Race Championships offer a great opportunity for the cycling community to come together and support the event.

The Welsh Road Race Championships is a closed event, where competitors must be eligible to compete for Wales by fulfilling the following criteria:

  • Born in Wales
  • Parent born in Wales
  • Lived in Wales for five years consecutively prior to the date of the event

Entry is via the British Cycling online entry system and will close on Sunday 12 April. Please note there is no entry on the day of the race. Enter online now.
