British Cycling and CNP have extended their working relationship until 2016, with the nutritional experts continuing their role as Official Supplier to British Cycling and the riders on the Great Britain Cycling Team.

Lifestyle nutrition experts CNP have been providing British Cycling with a full range of nutritional support since 2010 and have been a key contributor to the success of the Great Britain Cycling Team.

Having worked together so successfully at London 2012, the extended relationship will see CNP provide nutritional support through to Rio 2016.

The relationship has enabled British Cycling’s head of nutrition, Nigel Mitchell, to develop individual diets and rider products, providing support and expertise not only for when riders are on the bike, but during crucial recovery periods.

The agreement also sees British Cycling members benefit from the partnership with member discounts and nutritional advice available via the British Cycling website.

British Cycling’s head of nutrition, Nigel Mitchell, describes British Cycling's work with CNP as "a really successful partnership” and is thrilled to extend the relationship.

He said: “CNP has contributed hugely to the recent success of the Great Britain Cycling Team and deserves a large amount of credit for the expertise and experience they have brought to product innovation and implementation.

“The working relationship with CNP provides our riders and our members with a product that is the best on the market. The team at CNP is really focused on quality and that determination to succeed is vital when you need every last ounce of performance out of the team. Getting the right sports nutrition gives us the edge."

Glyn Hughes, commercial director at First Milk Ltd, said: “At CNP, we are delighted and proud to be extending our partnership with British Cycling to cover the next Olympic cycle. We look forward to working with British Cycling on delivering the world class nutrition required for another great medal haul at Rio 2016.”
