Amy Roberts and Elinor Barker will compete for Team USN in round 2 of the Revolution series at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester. Both will ride in the Women’s Omnium in competition with World and Olympic champions.

Elinor Barker will also ride for Great Britain in the Team Pursuit event, with Joanna Rowsell and Lizzie Armitstead igniting the rivalry with the Netherlands’ Marianne Vos, Ellen Van Dyck and Vera Kodoeder.

Roberts and Barker will compete in the Elimination, 8km Scratch Race and 10km Points Race to make up the Omnium event. The calibre of riders at this event will make it an interesting competition for spectators.

Elinor Barker, gold medallist at UCI Track World Cup in Glasgow, spoke ahead of the event, “I can’t wait to get on the track in Manchester at Revolution, and it’s such a great event to watch and even better to ride. Amy and I will be competing against some of Britain’s best female cyclists which will make it an exciting competition!”

The event will also see the DHL Future Stars Championship go into the second round, with the Elite Men’s Championship continuing in December. Jon Mould will join the FACE Partnership team in Manchester for Revolution 38, with fellow Welsh cyclists Sam Harrison and Owain Doull riding for Howies and Luke Rowe competing for Team Sky.

Tickets for the event in Manchester have now sold out, but you can watch highlights on ITV4 Wednesday 5th December at 8.00pm.
