Cardiff Cycle Workshop at Freaky Friday Mountain Bike series

The first of the Freaky Friday Mountain Bike series took place last Friday with nearly 30 riders enjoying the newly created course at Gilwern Outdoor activity centre.
Abergavenny RC had worked hard to cut through head high undergrowth in places and as a result had created a fun but challenging course.
With racing for everyone from Under 8's to Veterans, and refreshments available there was a great atmosphere despite a little rain at times and all the riders left promising to return for the rest of the series.

Freaky Friday Mountain Bike Racing with Abergavenny RC
Abergavenny RC are promoting a series of grassroots Mountain Bike races, building an Olympic legacy following Team GB’s phenomenal success at the Olympic Games.
Races are for all youth categories, with aspiring adults encouraged to try the 'Superstars' event!
The events are geared towards anyone yet to try competitive cycle racing, and use short, enjoyable circuits where cyclists of all abilities can take part.
Racing starts at 6.30pm for the 'Under 8's', and runs for six weeks, starting Friday 17th August 2012, with race entry just £3.00
Events are held at Gilwern Outdoor Education Centre, NP7 0EB
Spectators are encouraged to join us to enjoy and support the racing!
