Three youth cyclists from Towy Riders CC were chosen to carry the Carmarthenshire Olympic Torch from Ysgol Bro Myrddin to Ysgol Glan-Y-Mor this week. Nicholas Jones, Tanwen Jones and Mererid Hunt have all represented Wales in Mountain Biking and Cyclo-cross in UK competitions.

Throughout March, the torch will travel over 100 milesaround Carmarthenshire, starting at Emlyn School and finishing at Ysgol Pantycelyn. The aim is to inspire the county's young peopole in the run up to to the official London 2012 Torch Relay and the Olympic games itself. It will spend at least one day at each of Carmarthenshires' 18 secondary and special schools.
