British Cycling Regional Pre- National Council Meetings

Each of the Regions is shortly due to hold its pre-National Council meeting. The main business of these meetings will be to discuss the National Council Agenda (which is on Saturday 14th November) and to advise National Councillors of the voting decision of each Region.
The meetings will also review the Annual Report of the BCF and formulate any questions to be put in writing to National Council regarding BC’s activities and development in the last 12 months. Questions can be wide ranging across the areas now covered by BC, from non-competitive events to Elite competition issues, and from all disciplines within our sport. If there are any questions that your club or BC members wish to raise, but you are unable to attend your meeting, please let your secretaries have your questions in writing in advance of the meeting.
Copies of the 2009 Annual Report and the Agenda for the National Council Meeting will be sent to all National Councillors and the Secretary of each affiliated club by the BCF General Secretary by Saturday 24 October. Should anyone not receive their paperwork, please let your secretary know. These meetings are open to members of British Cycling to attend but members are reminded that only club delegates are eligible to vote up to the maximum permitted in National Bye Law 10.9. (Please remember your BCF membership card.)
It is hoped as many local members as possible will support their Regional meeting to ensure that your Regions views are fully documented and communicated to this key National meeting. South Region

Thursday 5th November 2009 at the Winthorpe Community Centre Near Newark. Start 7.00pm.
South West Region
Wednesday 4th November at Meldon Village Hall, some 4 miles West of Okehampton with the doors open at 7.15 p.m. and the meeting commencing at 7.30 p.m.
West Midlands Region
Monday 2nd November at the Land Rover Social Club, off Billsmore Green, Rowood Drive, Lode Lane, Solihull, B92 9LN: start 7.30pm.
