World Cup winner Mark Stewart will be competing alongside seven other riders at Round 5 of the Revolution Series on 2nd January in Manchester as part of Scotland Burness Paull.

Amongst the riders are the four Scots riding in the HOY Future Stars series: Jenny Holl, Rhona Callander, Joe Nally and Lewis Stewart.

Lewis Stewart, 16, was on fire at the last round and is now leading the HOY Future Stars table; he is looking forward to defending his place:

“I have never led the table before and never ever thought I would. I am in my second year of the HOY Future Stars series and have really enjoyed it; you are racing alongside the pros so it makes you feel like a professional racer! It is good fun; I have got a pretty decent lead so I am feeling pretty confident.”

Gary Coltman, Scottish Cycling Head of Performance says:

“The Revolution series continues to provide some great opportunities for Scot’s to race at the highest level, and i am pleased that we have a strong Scotland Burness Paull team competing in the next round in Manchester.  Mark Stewart heads up the team after his superb win at the recent World Cup and this will no doubt give the whole team a boost as they take on many of the world stars of track cycling.”
