Glasgow’s Katie Archibald will be the only Scot in the Great Britain Cycling Team to fly out to Switzerland this month for the UEC European Track Championships 2015.

The team who will be competing between the 14th - 18th October also includes high performing athletes such as Olympians Laura Trott, Sir Bradley Wiggins and Jason Kenny.

It is no surprise that Katie has been picked for the team, her success this year has been never ending and she doesn’t look like she is slowing down any time soon.

She took home silver from Athens in the Individual Pursuit at the UEC Under-23s and Junior Track Championships earlier this year and also took another two silvers at the National Track Championships in Manchester last month; pipped to the post by teammate Laura Trott.

Alongside her racing successes, Katie has been training hard for Rio with Laura Trott, Joanna Rowsell, Elinor Barker and Ciara Horne with a focus on the women’s team pursuit.
