Discovery Juniors Cycling Club host British Cycling Youth Omnium Series

The first round of the North East & Scotland Area British Cycling Youth Omnium Series takes place this Sunday (24th April) at Caird Park, Dundee.

The popularity of the event has kept growing ever since Discovery Junior Cycling Club brought the series to Scotland, this year 73 riders will be taking to the start line.

Racing starts at 10:30 with the presentations expected at 4:30. More information can be found here.

The other rounds in the series are:

7th May – Glasgow Glasgow-Riderz-Youth-Omnium

8th May – Middlesborough Middlesbrough-Youth-Omnium

15th May – Dundee Discovery-CC-Youth-Track-Omnium-2

The Discovery Junior Cycling Club have also been lucky enough to gain funding from the BraveheartCyclingFund to run a Scottish Youth Track Series.

The Scottish events as well as the Autumn Meeting at Caird Park as well as a series finale event to be confirmed at the Glasgow Velodrome.

The vast majority of Scottish riders on the various British Cycling programmes have either trained or raced at Caird Park at some time in their development. DJCC are proud of the tradition of leading the development of Youth based series in Scotland, working with Scottish Cycling to develop the next stars of the sport.”
