Coaching Awards

Nominations are now being taken for our quarterly Innovation, Motivation and Inspiration in coaching awards. A winner will be choosen based on your submissions at the start of June, October, January and April.

Have you seen a coach inspiring a group with little more than their imagination? Have you seen or been engaged in and enthralled by a session that leaves you wanting more? If so we would love to hear about it.

One coach will be rewarded for their achievements each quarter and it is you, the club member who's vote counts. It isn't the coach with the most votes that wins but the coach that comes up with the most creative solutions to everyday problems. A panel of expert judges will give the quarterly award to the coach they feel best exhibits innovation, motivation or inspiration within their session. You can even nominate your own idea if you like but we'll need to see verification from club members

Coaches eligible for this award must meet the following criteria:

*Must be working within an SC affiliated club but can be a paid or volunteer coach.
*The coach must be working safely within the limit of his or her qualification, we can assess that at the judging stage.
*The coach must be happy to share their examples of best practice in our coaching award web pages and newsletters.

Please email the name of your chosen coach along with a brief summary of what their innovational, motivational or inspirational idea was and how it impacted on their session to coacheducation@scottishcycling.org.uk or use the zoomerang survey below.

Successful coaches will be awarded limited edition coaching jackets* and their nominated activity will be profiled on the Scottish Cycling website. For the purposes of verification we will need to contact the coach and possibly other club members.

* Due to sizing limitations jackets are only available in a very limited quantity, if we can't get a jacket to fit our winner we'll endeavour to find an alternative prize.
