Scottish Cycling (SC) is the governing body for the sport of cycling in Scotland, including all its related disciplines – track, mountain bike cross country, downhill, road racing, cyclo-cross, time trial, BMX and cycle speedway. Within the organisation there are 3 strands of service delivery: Corporate and Membership Services, Development and Performance.

Scottish sport and cycling in particular is going through an exceptional period of growth, exposure and opportunity. With the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games and a new velodrome the Directors of Scottish Cycling are seeking to bring to the Board skills and expertise in the area of financial management to support the organisation in taking advantage of this window of opportunity that has been created.

The Board is seeking to appoint a Finance Director to hold office for an initial period of two years. The Finance Director would support the CEO and Management Accountant in reporting to each bi-monthly Board Meeting and would chair the Finance and Remuneration Committee. A key function of this committee is to provide guidance to the Board in analysing projections of income and expenditure and advise the Board on operations which can be reorganised, reduced or eliminated.

A summary of the role can be found below or by calling 0131 317 9704.

Interested parties should submit a letter of application along with a current CV by the 22nd of October 2012. Applicants will be asked to attend an interview with Directors from the Board.
