TRACK WORKING GROUP for SCOTTISH CYCLING

Posted on: 4th May 2012

The Board of Scottish Cycling would like to invite nominations from our membership for individuals to join our National Track Working Group. The aim of the group is:

  • To champion the development of Track Cycling and strive to ensure Scotland can offer a growing and appropriate competition pathway that is underpinned by a strong and supported network of coaches, officials, volunteers, clubs and riders.
  • To work with facility owners and operators to ensure that track facilities in Scotland are maintained to an acceptable standard and utilised to their full potential.
  • To act in the best interest of Scottish Cycling at all times and provide advice, expertise and knowledge to members and relevant stakeholders.
  • To ensure good governance and ‘fair play’ are maintained at all times in competition and the development of track cycling.

We are looking for people who have the necessary knowledge and expertise and would like to get involved in developing the future success of track cycling.

Application for membership of the Track Working Group is open to any member of Scottish Cycling. The enclosed Terms of Reference outlines the membership of the Group.

I would be most grateful if you could bring this opportunity to the attention of individuals who may be interested in getting involved.

The attached Nomination Form should be completed and returned to janette.hazlett@scottishcycling.org.uk by Friday, 11th May
