Forth Crossing Construction

Posted on: 2nd April 2012

The New Forth Crossing construction is in full swing, and all two wheeled road users should take care on the main roads and paths that join the existing road network that meets the current Forth Road Bridge.

There has been a spate of cyclists falling off on various junctions and roundabouts in the vicinity of the construction on the North side.

An approach has been made to the council and the FCBC to highlight the recent 'offs' and to ensure the roads are being cleaned, since a duty of care is part of the bridge constructors remit.

Even with road cleaning and wheel washing in place, there will be increased risk of detritus on the roads. Please take extra care while riding around those roads in Inverkeithing and Rosyth Dockyard.
