Annan Youth CC Win Coach of the Year Award

Annan Youth Cycling had a good evening at the Dumfries & Galloway Councils Annnandale & Eskdale Sports Accademy Sports awards ceremony held on Friday evening.

The club despite only just completing their first year they won the much coveted Coach of the year award as well as being runners up in the team of the year category.

In the first time in the awards history the coach of the year award was given jointly to Alan Laurie, Scott Irving and Paul McQueen for dedication and hard work in their coaching skills. The club has provided coaching sessions in many disciplnes of the sport always managing to keep it fresh and most importantly fun.

The coaches also coached their riders to second place in the team competition in the South West Scotland Cycling Project race series.

Scottish Cycling wishes to pass on their congratulations on their successful year and their award.
