Edinburgh Falcons at National Indoor Cycle Speedway Championships

This weekend the Falcons will be represented at the National Indoor Cycle Speedway Championships in Manchester.
The event, which is run over both Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th Nov, will see the finest indoor Cycle Speedway riders in the UK compete for the last National Championships of 2011.
Saturday – the Senior Falcons will be taking part in the Team Championships – drawn in the 2nd out of three Semi-Finals versus Stockport, Bury, Hull & Leicester. Winners and the best second placed team progress to the final.
Mark Lee & Douglas Morgan take part in the Under 16s individual
Jake Slight in the Under 19s individual
Johnny Murphy & Chic Mackie in the Veterans individual
Sunday – the Junior Falcons take part in the Junior Team Championship - drawn in Semi-Final one versus Astley, Leicester, Sheffield, Ipswich & Poole. Two Semi-Finals with the top two through to the final.

Jake Slight & Mikey Hewitson in Senior individual
With Craig Newsome and Michael Lee also making the trip south Team Manager Stevie Gilroy has a tough decision on the make up of both his junior and senior teams.
Other News:
The Falcons AGM will be held at Redbraes on 4th Dec 2011, 1pm sharp. After what has been an eventful year both on and off track the AGM is expected to throw up some major discussions on the future direction of the club and the make up of the committee. 2012 is expected to be a big year for the club with membership at an all time high and various avenues for promotion and growth on the horizon.
