Scottish National Alba Series #1: Gifford Road Race

The famous Scottish National Alba Series will open on Saturday 14th March with riders heading to Gifford to take on a well known road racing course. Running for a staggering 14 years, the Gifford Road Race, organised by Edinburgh Road Club, is the A race of the Scottish Alba series and as such attracts a top field of Scotland's best road racers and even some from south of the border. Entries close at midnight on Sunday 1st March, so get your name on the start list before it's too late.

Scottish National Youth Circuit Series #1: Ben Forsyth Race Day

The Scottish National Youth Circuit Series is a brilliant series of races which help riders to progress their riding and learn valuable race craft. The first race in the series takes place at the end of March at the East Fortune Race Circuit. The Ben Forsyth Race Day is organised by Edinburgh Road Club in honour of the young cyclist Ben Forsyth who passed away. Ben was the first ERC Junior winner of a British Championship Circuit Race in 2013. The event is held in support of CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) and its' screening events. In addition to the National Youth Series races there are non-national race categories for other youths and seniors.

Scottish National Womens Road Race Series #1: (W)Reivers Road Race

The first of the Scottish National Women's Road Race Series is the Reivers Road Race. Berwick Wheelers CC will hold its 7th consecutive event based at Etal Village Hall in Northumberland and this is the first time it has featured in the Women's Series. For those riders able to catch their breath long enough to look around, they will take in the fantsatic scenery of the borders of Scotland and England. A strong field of women are already entered for the event so it promised to be an animated race.
