Telenet CX World Cup

Tabor | Saturday 16th November

A team of riders from the Great Britian Cycling Team headed to the Czech Republic this weekend to race a round of the Telenet Cyclo-cross World Cup in Tabor. Scot Cameron Mason took 7th U23, Rory Mcquire secured 15th junior while Corran Carrick Anderson and Anna Flynn had great races among the worlds best riders.

Newport GP 2019 (Incorporating BC National Sprinters League)

Wales | Saturday 16th November

A group of Scottish Riders made their way down to the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome for the annual Newport GP. Among the many stand out performaces were Lauren Bell winning the Female A Sprint final and Elizabeth Winton winning the B Sprint final. Ellie Stone, riding for Black Line, took an impressive victory in the mixed Keirin final while Jamie Penny did well to win the Male B Sprint. His Caledonian Sprint Team teammate, Jack Cruden also completed coming fourth with Glasgow Track Racing Club rider, James Park coming in just behind in fith.

A number of the riders from Scotland took the opportunity to display the Rainbow pride tape on their bikes to support LGBT inclusion in sport. If you are heading down to the Scottish Cycling Senior National Track Championships in a couple weeks, come and find us and we will tape up your bike too.

Ghent 6

Belgium | Tuesday 12th November - Sunday 17th November

Scottish rider and Youth Tour of Scotland General Classification winner Alfie George raced the U23 Ghent Six last week and put in a brilliant performance. Highlights of the six days and nights of racing include second in a madison and winning the overall AVS Cup.

SXC Round 4: The Mount Stuart Trust

Bute | Sunday 16th November

Round 4 of the Scottish Cyclo Cross Series took place on the Isla of Bute on Sunday with racing for all categories. The course headed through the grounds of Mount Stuart House with many technical challenges on the 3.25km lap including, switchbacks and adverse cambers and some wooded area's. A huge thank you to the volunteer organisers who make this series possible.
