Scottish National Criterium & Youth Circuit Championship 2019

Fife Cycle Park | Saturday 31st August

The event is hosted by Paul Zarb, under his Kinross CC hat (he’s also a SC staff member, but this is being done as a volunteer!) The event was also held here last year organised by Martin Harris.

The event is taking place on Scotland’s dedicated cycling closed road facility, Fife Cycle Park, which is a really valuable addition to the local (and wider) area.

UCI Mountain Bike World Championships 2019

Mont-Saint-Anne, Canada | Wednesday 28th August to Sunday 1st September

Following on from Charlie’s phenomenal performance in the week to become World Champion in the Junior XC race, the competition continues into the weekend. Annie Last, Isla Short and Grant Ferguson will be representing Great Britain in the women's and men's cross-country races, respectively.

The Mountain Biking World Championships elite cross country races take place on Saturday, 1 September.

Highland Hardline Round 5

Fyrish, Evanton | Sunday 1st September

Highland Hardline is a Downhill Race Series on a short course for younger riders aged 8 to 18 being hosted by Black Isle Mountain Bike Club. The series aims to provide an introduction to downhill racing as well as being challenging to more experienced riders.

SXC Round 6

Glentress Forest | Sunday 1st September

Where better to round off 2019 than at the home of the fantastic crew who've brought you all the SXC action for the last couple of years? Your chance to come along and says thank you to the Peebles CC by shredding their course! Glentress forest is one of Scotland's superstar mountain bike destinations, always popular with riders of all ages and abilities and always a top class event, whether part of the Scottish or the British XC series.

 

Ronnie MacDonald Memorial 10-mile TT

Polnicol Hall, Invergordon | Sunday 1st September

The annual Ronnie MacDonald Memorial 10-mile TT gets underway this weekend. As with last year, the event begins in Polnicol and follows a fast route along the A9 and turns at the Nigg roundabout.

With last year’s winner, James Millar, absent from the start sheet, an opportunity has opened up for the rest of the field including the remainder of the 2018 podium Alasdair Munro and Mark Dryburgh.
