An 18-strong squad of Great Britain Cycling Team riders will travel to Berlin for the third round of the TISSOT UCI Track Cycling World Cup series which takes place from 30th November – 2nd December.

Among the team are 3 Scottish riders who are all having exceptional seasons on the track.

Olympic champion Katie Archibald will be keen to continue her run of success at the Track World Cup, having already won several world cup medals so far this season. Likewise, Mark Stewart, who has 3 medals to his name and narrowly missed out on gold in the omnium in Canada, looks likely to continue his run of success. Set to take on the sprinters is Paisley boy Jack Carlin who is showing great promise so far this season.

Performance director Stephen Park OBE said: “The squad have got their 2018/19 TISSOT UCI Track Cycling World Cup series campaign off to an impressive start, winning six medals in Paris and nine medals in Canada to take the overall winner’s trophy in each round.

“I’m confident the team we are sending to Berlin will continue this momentum and build on our strong start to qualifying valuable Olympic points."

The team of Jonny Wale and John Archibald, Huub/Wattbike will also be looking to follow up their dominant team pursuit performance in Berlin. Both Scottish riders will be riding high after wowing the crowds at the Scottish Track Championships in Glasgow last week.
