The continued success and growth of Scottish Cycling has resulted in the creation of the exciting new role of Head of Business Operations, who will be responsible for leading and managing our business operations functions. Scottish Cycling is committed to a range of initiatives from playground to podium and our vision is to develop a nation of cyclists. Our objectives are to Lead, Support, Grow and Partner cycling to ensure we maximise participation and deliver ongoing international success.
The successful candidate will have exceptional management skills and a proven track record in leading and managing people in a customer focused environment. You will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team working across the organisation to provide support and continuous improvement.
There are a number of strands to this job including the responsibility for improving governance, compliance, policies and procedures. You will identify and deliver improvements across the business and manage relationships with external suppliers and contractors ensuring these provide best value. You will also provide strong leadership and management to the Finance and Communications teams.
This is a challenging role working with a busy team in a vibrant environment and we are looking for a dynamic, energetic and innovative leader with an engaging personality.
A good knowledge of the governance structures within sporting bodies and related organisations is desirable as is a demonstrable knowledge of cycling in Scotland and the UK for sport and recreation. The role is full time, based at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Glasgow, with occasional weekend and evening work.
