Scottish National Alba Series #4 - The Tour of the Glens

Blairgowrie, Sunday 22 July 2018

The event, which is once again hosted by Dundee Thistle, takes place for the 4th year in Blairgowrie. The 5 lap, 79 mile course gets it’s name as it covers the Angus and Perthshire glens, starting and finishing near Lintrathen reservoir. It’s set to be a challenging race with plenty of climbing to test riders legs.

Scottish National 50 Mile Time Trial Championship 

Invergordon, Sunday 22 July 2018

Due to unexpected roadworks the Championship was moved from it’s original 8th July date to the Skelly Cup this weekend. This, predominately flat course, offers riders a brilliant opportunity to test themselves and challenge the coveted Scottish national champions jersey. Sunshine and light winds are forecast in Invergordon on Sunday, so fast times are predicted.

HSBC UK National Downhill Championship

Glencoe, Saturday 21st July - Sunday 22nd July 2018

Defending champion Greg Williamson  will hope to win for the third time, while Reece Wilson promises another strong performance following two top ten results in World Cups so far this year,

Brothers George and Henry Kerr will compete in the Junior men's, along with Jamie Edmondson. Henry and Jamie are third and fifth respectively in the Series – with Henry Kerr currently leading the Junior men’s competition.

Tea Jensen will line up to compete in the Junior womens competition.

2018 HSBC UK National Mountain Bike Cross-Country Championships

Hadleigh Park International

The home of London 2012 mountain bike will host the best British riders – all battling to claim the prestigious white, red and blue national champions’ jerseys.

Grant Ferguson, who confirmed he will be riding the Glasgow2018 European Championships this week,  will hope to make it six-in-a-row this weekend.

There are also 17 youth and juvenile riders heading down to Hadleigh Park this weekend to compete. A fantastic opportunity for stars of the future to shine.

HSBC UK National Youth and Junior Track Championship

Newport, Wales, Monday 23rd July 2018

23 Scottish riders will travel to Newport for the HSBC UK National Youth and Junior Track Championships next week. In 2017 18 riders competed with some brilliant results so it's great to see an increase in participation and look forward to following the action.
