Scottish Cycling is delighted to announce the events which will form the qualifiers for the Mini-DH finals at the Fort William MTB World Cup 2019.
Do you want to be a part of the Scottish Cycling Mini DH Finals? We’re looking for volunteers to help out at the Finals as part of the UCI MTB DH World Cup in Fort William! Volunteers will receive a ticket for access to the World Cup on Saturday the 1st of June and get to see the future stars of the DH World racing!
There will be five separate events spread across Scotland to provide as wide an opportunity for young racers to qualify as possible.
Youth DH racing is booming in Scotland, with qualifying Short Course DH events delivered by the Highland Hardline and Borders MTB teams of volunteer event organisers.
The qualifiers will use these existing events, at the start of the season, and will take place on courses which are technically challenging and physically demanding, while being a good introduction to MTB Downhill racing.
From each event, the top two riders will qualify for the Finals which take place at the Nevis Range as part of the Fort William MTB World Cup on Saturday 1st June 2019. New for 2019, one rider in each male and female U18 category will also qualify for the finals. If those riders have already qualified at a previous round, the next highest placed rider will qualify.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for young racers to race at the same event as their downhill heroes.
The qualifying events are:

|2||21/04/2019||Innerleithen||Borders MTB||Qualified Riders|
|3||28/04/2019||Nevis Range||Highland Hardline||Qualified Riders|
