The Scottish National Women’s Road Race Series 2017 is approaching round two in a week’s time, with the Edinburgh Road Club and Jonny May’s Tour de Gladhouse.

The event currently has 27 entries and will be open until for further entries until Friday 26th May at 23:55hrs.

Round three of the Series, due to be held within Scottish Cycling South West, was a new addition to the calendar.  Despite the great intentions of the organiser, he is no longer able to deliver this year but we’ll be working together with the Event Organiser and the club to develop future opportunities for this event to take place.

To step into these shoes will be the Pedal Power Women’s Road Race on 13th August 2017.

The event is not live on the calendar yet, but the Event Organiser, Alan Maxwell, organiser of the brilliant 2016 Scottish National Road Race Championships, will be working on this in the coming weeks.

Pedal Power will also be hosting a men’s road race on the same day.

The event will be an exciting prequel to the Scottish National Road Race Championships the following weekend in Kennoway and a great culmination of the 2017 Series, with the winner’s jersey to be awarded on the day.

The Series will now look like this:

07-May-17 Sharon Argue Memorial Road Race Limerigg Arria Wheelers
03-Jun-17 Tour de Gladhours (incorp. Junior Women's Road Race Championships) Peebles Edinburgh RC
2-Jul-17 John Gordon Memorial Road Race Lanark East Kilbride RC
13-Aug-17 Pedal Power Road Race Baadsmill Pedal Power
10-Sept-17 Sally Anne Memorial Road Race (incorp. Veteran Women's Road Race Championships) Kincraig Cairngorm Cycling Club
