This Sunday (2nd April) will see the second round of the Scottish National Youth Road Race Series. We are delighted that it is going to be incorporated into the inaugural Crit on the Campus at the University of Stirling, organised by Stirling Bike Club.

The Youth riders will get the opportunity to ride at the same event which has been won by riders such as Katie Archibald, James McCallum, Charline Joiner and Evan Oliphant. Last year British Cycling Junior Academy rider Joe Nally beat Evan and David Lines to the win.

This year around 450 riders have signed up across all the races, making it one of the biggest race days on the Scottish road racing calendar.

The course is a technical circuit of just under 1 mile, on the grounds of the picturesque University of Stirling. Changes to the road layout mean there will be a new section of the course, with a few more twists and turns, promising to make this a real challenge of positioning as well as fitness.

The first round of the Scottish Cycling Youth Road Race Series took place at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, on 18th March. The event, ‘LaPrimaBella’ was organised by Johnstone Jets.

Currently Matti Dobbins, Johnstone Wheelers Cycling Club and Georgia Ferry, Glasgow Riderz lead the Youth A standings.

In the Youth B category it is Callum Reid, Speedflex Race Team and Eva Young, Pedal Power RT who will be looking to defend their positions.
