The Scottish National Cyclo-cross Championships take place this weekend (Sunday 4th December) in Lochore Meadow’s Country Park.

The event called Meedies Madness is organised by Kinross Cycling Club, and will host the sixth round of the Raleigh Scottish Cyclo-cross Series and the Scottish National Championships.

Around 600 competitors from the under-8 through to the veteran categories it is set to continue the trend of strong cyclo-cross races seen across Scotland this season.

Eileen Roe (Lares-Waowdeals Women Cycling Team), Isla Short (Novus OMX Pro Team ) and Kerry MacPhee  (Rock and Road Cycles) will be fighting it out for the women’s title.

The course , which includes its famous ‘spiral’ will promise to be muddy and packed with non-stop action – spectators are welcome to come along and catch more than a glimpse of the action from 9.30 am!
