Team Scotland's General Selection Policy has been finalised for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and is now available on the Commonwealth Games Scotland website here.

After working closely with Commonwealth Games Scotland, Scottish Cycling have confirmed their selection policy for all disciplines that will make up the  cycling competition programme, starting with the track events on 5th April 2018 and ending with the Men’s Road Race on 15th April.  The full policy can be found here.

Team Scotland have specific targets for Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, aiming to achieve the highest ever number of medals at an overseas Games and have a higher percentage of athletes meeting the selection standards in competition at the Games than in 2014.

Gary Coltman, Head of Performance for Scottish Cycling said:

“Our aim for the Gold Coast is to be medal competitive.  Whilst the standards are based on top six, we aim to be competing for medals in as many events as possible.  We believe the document supports this aim, and is in line with our wider performance programme aims and objectives”.
