The North East of Scotland round of the Scottish National Youth Series will take place in Ellon on the 21st August, a great opportunity for all youth categories to race on a traffic free town centre road course.

The event promoted by Ythan Cycle Club will offer some fast and furious racing on a tight crit course.

Club chairman, Colin Allanach, said:

“Ythan are always delighted to see some of the best young talent coming up to Ellon, we have had some fantastic races in previous years and it’s great to see how some of the youngsters who have had the opportunity to race here in the past have developed into superb bike racers”.

Entry for the races can be found on the BC website by clicking below.

The races form part of a sports and fun day in Ellon with running races (open to all) following the bike races and culminating in the fabulous pedal car race.

There will be lots of family stalls and entertainment around the town centre including a change to try out some very unusual bikes supplied by Get-about Aberdeen.

Why not make a day of it and stick around to watch the chaos and fun of the pedal car race!
