Round 2: Scottish Cycling Women's Road Race Series, supported by Dales Cycles

The Scottish Cycling National Women’s Road Race Series supported by Dales Cycles, moves north to Munlochy, near Inverness for Round 2 this weekend.  32 women have signed up with more expected to enter on the day.  The race will cover 5 laps of a rolling 8.6 mile circuit and includes a “Queen on the Mountain” competition. 

Round 1 winner, Flora Gillies (Project 51) and 2nd placed Emily Middleditch (Deeside Thistle) are likely to be the main contenders again along with 2014 series winner, Chloe Fraser (Team Rytger) and Ashleigh Fraser (Deeside Thistle) who finished 3rd overall in last year’s series.  Promoting club Moray Firth Cycling Club have 9 riders entered including Laura Nicolson (4th in round 1) and Natalie Munro (7th in 2014 series).

In addition to the Inverness round of the Series, a further 4 events will take place across the country in  Falkirk, Dundee, Banchory and Aviemore.
