Glennifer Braes Road Race takes place this weekend just outside Paisley.
The race is organised and promoted by Glasgow Ivy Cycling Club and is the first in the WoSCA 2013 Development Road Race series.
The course is 6 laps of a tough circuit that includes a considerable climb up Glennifer Road. At over a mile long the climb will almost definitely split the field and produce a well-deserved winner. The course will present a real challenge and will be a great test for any rider.
The field comprises of a 50/50 split of 3rd and 4th category riders with a couple Juniors in there too. With many clubs fielding several riders we may see a some team tactics. However, with series points going down to 30th place and a hefty overall prize at the end of the year it’s going to be every man for himself on that final climb!
