It was an exciting day of racing at Nevis Range in Fort William on Sunday. The course was the same MiniDH course that was used at the Fort William World Cup last year but the trail fairies were busy out with the spades on Saturday afternoon to add two new natural sections to the course making the course a little different.

Sunday morning 9am parents and riders were queued up out the door of the café eager to sign on and get started with practise or maybe it was the smell of fresh coffee and bacon rolls! Signed in, numbers on and bikes checked it was time for practice. With 30 riders signed on there was a fairly constant stream of rider coming down the hill all through the practice session.

After a quick stop for lunch it was time for the race runs to start. With 30 riders there was a bit of breathing space in the schedule so all the riders got 3 timed race runs on the course. With places being decided by tenths of a second this extra timed run did make for some exciting racing.
