May has been a busy month in the world of cycling, with many major events in Scotland, great performances from Scottish riders and lots of opportunities to get involved.

The excitement of the Tour Series was heightened, with a win from Scotland’s Eileen Roe, followed by a close 3rd place from Katie Archibald – both riding for Team WNT – in Motherwell. In Aberdeen it was Jack Pullar who won the men’s race. Jack competed for Team Scotland during the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.

This weekend  (27th and 28th May) the British BMX Series is coming to Cumbernauld – with Broadwood BMX hosting a weekend of exciting racing and family fun – all for FREE! Come along, support the riders and have a seat in the grandstand! More information can be found here.

Help needed! Are you free on the 4th of June? The Anderside Classic needs some volunteer marshals to help riders safely navigate the course. What do you need? Enthusiasm, motivation and a positive attitude! This course is not a circuit so you could even help at two points and fit a cycle in for yourself! Interested? Please get in touch with Ali, the event organiser via aliogg@talktalk.net

Events are coming at us thick and fast, make sure you get your entries in! The Scottish National Youth and Junior Track Championships will be on 23rd- 25th June with some exciting new changes to the Youth Omnium. Find out more details here.

Finally, there has been a change in the line up of the Women’s Road Race Series. Find out more here – and don’t forget to enter!
