Scottish Cycling are looking for some keen volunteers to train as Photofinish Operators in 2016.

Bill Dunscombe and Sandy Glover have been our dedicated Photofinish team for a number of years helping to deliver results service to a huge number of events. Bill and Sandy are looking to step back from this role to concentrate on riding their bikes at their leisure. Before they step away completely they are eager to impart their knowledge over the 2016 season to anyone interested in volunteering as Photofinish Operators.

We’re looking for up to 6 individuals to train as Photofinish Operators to share the role across events in Scotland. Without any volunteers to operate the equipment we will be unable to provide Photofinish services at future events.

Ideally we require individuals who

  • Have a knowledge of cycle sport
  • Have an understanding of the results process at an event
  • Have access to a  vehicle with a space for ladders and other Photofinish equipment
  • Are IT literate

Full training will be provided to those interested.

Future bookings of the Photofinish equipment will be done centrally through events@scottishcycling.org.uk to ensure a smooth handover to new volunteers.

If you would like to register your interest or request further information, please contact ashley.chesham@scottishcycling.org.uk.
