Josh Williams (Paramount CRT) took his third victory of the season in a bunch sprint at round 13 of the SSSCCRRL at Admaston.

On a warm but windy evening, riders set out to complete five laps of a seven mile flat circuit including a long main road drag into a headwind.

With the handicapping times shortened the groups all came together into one high speed bunch with over 15 miles to go.

This is how it remained with the pace too high for riders to escape the bunch and the wind making it hard for riders on the front of the bunch.

Into the finishing straight the 50 rider peloton fanned across the road and it was Williams, aged 21, from Oswestry who timed his finishing effort to perfection to take the win.

Coming home in second was 36-year-old James Notley, from Stafford and taking third place was Gareth Scott (Beacon Roads CC).
