Second-season rider Matthew Exley (www.twenty3c.co.uk) celebrated his maiden road race victory in Nottingham Clarion CC’s 33-mile Lime Kiln Road Race at Cropwell Bishop on Saturday.

The 23-year-old, from Milton Keynes, came in at the head of a 40-strong field at the main expense of 17-year-old junior James Peckover (Beeston RC), while Christopher Cleaver (Concorde CC) completed the podium in third spot.
