Great Britain's Ed Clancy will be part of the field for the 54th consecutive running of the early season classic race for the Wally Gimber Trophy on the Tenterden circuit in Kent.

The start list is very strong this year and includes previous winners Steve Lampier (Node 4 Giordana), last year’s winner Matt Jones (Team IG – Sigma Sport) and Andy Lyons, now with Twenty3c Focus, who won in 2000.

The undulating course often sees an early break succeed and the larger teams will be trying to control the race although history suggests that lone riders can win against the odds. British Cycling Olympic Podium Programme rider Ed Clancy (Rapha Condor JLT) has won already this season with victory at the Eddie Soens, transferring his strong winter track form to the road and will be closely marked.

The winner takes with them the prestigious trophy and prize money of £250. Full details of the event are on the club website www.dulwichparagon.com.
