Road: Victory for Stratton in Surrey League Time Trial

Seven seconds down after the opening lap of the Staplefield circuit, James Stratton came through to beat his London Dynamo team-mate Martin Williamson by close to a minute in the 26-mile Surrey League time trial on Saturday.

Stratton finished in 1:01:10 for victory with Williamson’s 1:02:08 exactly half a minute too good for third:placed Robert Moore (London Phoenix).

The composite pairing of Chris McNamara (Pedal Heaven RT) and Mark Fenner (Team Torq) produced the only sub:hour ride of the day to win the two:up team event in 58:46.
