Event: 12 August 2012
Report: Snowdon Sports

Attacking from the start, Graeme Rose (Dirtwheels Cycles) and Sam Ward (Hope Factory Racing) dominated the 55-mile Kirklees CA road race with the former pulling clear on the last of the ten laps to secure an excellent victory.

Working well together, the pair opened up a gap of a minute in no time at all and continued to prosper despite the efforts of a nine-strong chasing group that eventually split under the pressure.

Leeds-based Rose, 31, attacked halfway round the last lap and opened up a gap of 40 seconds over Ward by the line with Rob Watkinson (Doncaster Wheelers) coming through for third place 20 seconds later and gaps opening up between the rest of the top ten.

Result:

2/3/4:
1 Graeme Rose (Dirtwheels Cycles) 2:05:00
2 Sam Ward (Hope Factory Racing) @ 40 sec
3 Rob Watkinson (Doncaster Wheelers) @ 1:00

6 Alastair Hepworth (VS Cycles)
7 Mark Perry (Dirtwheels Cycles)
8 Sean Newbould (Featherstone RC)
9 Richard Binks (Clay Cross RT)
10 Callum Bradley (Langdale Lightweights RT)
